damn that sucks!! Question for you.. did they allow you to keep the other (1st) headliner? Id' be willing to buy one off you, since I plan to wrap it in alcantara anyway.

Hope you get it all sorted man

I had a slicktop with a sagging headliner. ECS wanted too much money for a new one so I had mine redone by a local Upholstry shop here in Southern California and it cost me $250 cash... saved me a lot of headache...

I've got one sitting in my garage that needs recovering, with no creases

No compensation at all. I talked to the manager, Chris over the phone. He seemed uninterested in talking to me with a tone like I’m bothering his lunch break or something.

He said they’ll do the swap again and check the headliner before shipping. I told him that’s what I was told last time, he pretty much replied with nothing else we can do unless you want your $ back.

I actually defended them in that thread last week. But I’m with you after this. I’ve been loyal and bought everything from them, thousands upon thousands of $ spent since 2012 from ecs.

This looks like shipping damage to me
Yes box is 100% intact and solid. No crease, dings, or folds. I’ll take more pics of it.

Box was perfect shape when it came in. Still is even after I opened it all up. Will take pics in a few.

Wondering if rewrap is the way to go now... keep us updated
Wish I can be happy with rewrap. I actually love the stock fabric, even more than alcantara.

Nope, I had to ship original back, do all the rma process. Once they got original back, it took them over a week to ship another one, over 5weeks now since placing my order. The day I started this thread is when I shipped back the original one.

Part of me wants to ship this back, and get full refund. But then they simply walk out of this while I’m down the hole of weeks and weeks of wasted time and effort (taking time off to be home for the truck, shipping boxes, and just waiting). I’ll ship this back, once it’s shipped I’ll think more what option to go with (full refund or have them try to resend me an actual brand new condition headliner for the third time).

Dealership has a new one for $800 shipped, exact part # in stock at Montana. If I can do it over again, I would’ve bought at dealership from the start for only extra $50 or so (ecs charges shipping on top of the headliner price as it’s too big for free shipping). But I’m in too deep with the time and effort I put into this. We’ll see what I decide.
