Default Oil pan drain bolt stripped, can I drain oil....

Oil change due soon, Can I drain oil from the other hole that has like 6 bolts in the oil pan? I think it's covered by the reinforcement plate with those 1 time use only bolts.

Just as another option, you could use a fluid extractor.

Fix properly and do rod bearings at the same time

That other hole with six bolts is the oil level sensor. You could replace that (it eventually fails) and drain the oil through there. Not sure if it is at the lowest point on the pan though.

If you're just trying to change the oil before addressing the problem, get a fluid extractor. Going for the panel with 6 bolts also requires you to remove the reinforcement plate, and is way messier than just getting an extractor.

If you're going through the trouble of removing the plate, just replace the pan and do rod bearings

I've replaced the oil level sensor which has 3 bolts i believe and isn't the area I was asking about, thanks for the responses. I think my oil catch pan will be fine draining the oil from the 6 bolts, rather do it from here this once to buy me time before addressing the stripped oil drain pan than purchasing an oil extractor for the one time I'd use it.

What's the replacement option for oil drain bolt part that doesn't use the hex pattern to avoid stripping?

Cut a slot in the bolt head just big enough for a drag link socket. Unless it was over torqued going in, it should come right out.
