Default Ultimate Cup holder question

Can't believe I am posting this, but I am can't find what I am looking for. I have the euro tray and don't want to put back in the cupholders but do like to have a drink in the car occasionally. I travel a lot for work on the freeway so having a drink etc is something I do.

In looking at the ultimate cupholder, I can't see how it would fit where they say it would. Does anyone have any experience that they can share.

Once again, sorry for the stupid post, but I want to be sure before I spend the $30 or whatever they cost.

I have them and they work great. They fit exactly where it shows in the picture, the top part kind of slips up in between the carpet and the center console plastic. They are rather pricey but considering the limited options there are for aftermarket cup holders there is really nothing better available.

Look for B5 Passat Cup Holder. They are awesome and also fold up out of the way

I had these on my other car. Like Greymatter said, not many good aftermarket cup holders out there to choose from.

Start at the bottom of where the shifter console is and they should be easier to slip into place. I've had to take my driver side cup holder out because i sit too close to the steering wheel and the slider bar on my RPPs hits the cup holder out of place. A thought if you have after market seats

ultimate works fine, I've been using one for my morning coffee every day for about a year or so now with no issues and no spills

I just sat in my car and couldn't see where it would fit with my legs in there. Maybe I am just not seeing it. I will trust in the powers of the M3F

Unless you're getting a Gallon of something to drink (which wouldn't fit in the cup holder any way...how unamerican can you get?) it won't interfere with your driving

That's been my concern as well. I'm pretty sure my leg would take it out at some point.

I think I'll continue my hand stretching/strength exercises so I can hold the steering wheel and cup at the same time. Doesn't work with those gallon containers, though.

fwiw I put it on the passenger side

I put it over there to avoid hitting it with my legs/knees and knocking anything over, and to make it convenient for passengers since I only use it for morning coffee
