sorry if thats a problem for you... i worked hard to get a degree from RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) I work very hard at my job and have worked in this field for several years. Just because my friends are enthusiasts who work in the car industry does not make me know everything, but In my line of work and living in NYC affords me the ability to meet and work with alot of people who DO know everything. Sorry if that is a problem for you. Now go back to class and work hard, and just maybe someday you will know everything.

Now Enough off topic or end thread.............

Well through all the fighting.......... (not what this forum is made for....)

But itd probably help everyone if you just posted some pics...

And for your powder-coat decision, I'd say defiantly do it. I love my powder-coated contours. If you get them done right it'll look good.

I thought mine might have been a bit pricey, but it ran me $300 for all four.

most of the powdered/painted centers with polished lips are aftermarket copies, not factory wheels. check for the raised boss with lettering around the valvestem. factory wheels have it and it is in the way for machining and polishing the lip, so the aftermarket wheels don't have that boss.

There are/were wheel shops that specialized in taking new factory wheels from BMW and Mercedes, chrome plating them and re-selling them. That gives you a chrome plated factory wheel. Some dealers might have dealt with them, and then sell a new car with chromed wheels.
