Yeah when I saw it at first I was like wow, can't believe it was a factory item, and way back in 2001. Also surprised it was an option only on the zip, Sam's more fitting to the m3.

Also a nice option, just clashes too much with the exterior.

Big fan of the Silver cube trim. Not sure if I can see the black cube trim pricing climb in the coming years though!

Have it in my ZHP, itís nice but the zcp laser cut trim in my M3ís is much more attractive imo.

I used to love the brushed aluminum until I had it in a car, underwhelming. I even prefer clean Titan shadow over it.

The black cube trim would go really well with the BMW Motorsport "golf ball" shift knob.

Fresh black cube is certainly the best in my opinion. Do it.

Everything is to taste, but personally I like the contrast the lighter trims add to an otherwise endless expanse of black. Black cube does not do this, so I don't like it.

If I am being honest (I'm sure I am in the minority here), the ONLY trim that I really like for this car is brushed aluminum. It just looks so timeless and premium. Personally, it makes all the other trim options look like cheap plastic. If I couldn't have brushed aluminum, I'd likely look for real carbon fiber trim, or maybe Alcantara wrapped. Piano black doesn't look bad, but it also just looks like shiny painted plastic. The Brushed aluminum feels solid and like it would be found on a car like an Aston Martin, and it doesn't 'creak' or bubble like the cheaper plastic trim options.

For me, brushed aluminum is the only choice.
Per the originally promotional material for the car, the alu trim was hand brushed by Italian craftsman. Not many BMW parts you can say that about .

I love how the brushed alu looks.

REALLY!? Damn, I had no idea. That is REALLY cool! No wonder it feels like both the aluminum trim and my cinnamon Nappa leather belongs in a $100k+ car.

I wish I had lsb or almost any other color though so I could get the aluminum trim. Always loved it and feels very high end.

Wonder if they are all still produced like that. Interesting fact.
The black looks aggressive though, I don't know. Kinda gives it a purposeful edge.
The aluminum is amazing though. Wish I had lsb or almost any other color so I could get it. It's an exceptionally nice looking and very high end trim

I have the silver cube trim and personally I love it on a black interior!

My buddy has the opposite, black cube on a grey interior. It works well too.
