Default HK System: Xtrons Nav, OEM Nav

For the past couple weeks I have not had any sound in my M. About 2 months ago installed a Xtrons unit replacing my OEM Nav. I had to purchase the Xtrons wire harness extension to run from the HK amp to the Nav. After proceeding with this everything worked fine until about 2 weeks ago. I thought this could have been the result of the aftermarket unit which worked decent but had its glitches (like any other android headunit), but no... I received the new unit and of course after connecting it, the display doesn't boot. While pressing the reset button the unit lights up for a second or two so it is receiving power. Frustrated I swapped out the new xtrons unit for the OEM Nav and it booted, displaying my mpg, date, time etc... but no sound. No CD will play, No audio will play through the radio mode or Aux, as if the Nav is muted. I have searched on a couple forums but it appears no one has either found a fix or posted their fix for situations similar. With the Xtrons unit the BM54 unit is not needed so it cannot be the issue. I'm thinking it could be the HK Amp, but before I spend, has anyone have/had any similar issues or fixes?
