Default E46 M3 Daily Drivers, have you considered another DD?

Don't get me wrong, love driving my M on a daily basis but with gas way above $4 a gallon I am seriously contemplating a 2nd car as a daily driver. Really focusing on a MINI. Anyone here own a MINI or a MINI S Cooper? How you like it? Any Cons? Pro for me is it sips gas & looks nice. Never drove one but am going to start test driving soon. Any input is appreciated...

Ha ha - I just bought an E46 M3 for my daily driver.

I'll post pics as soon and the truck delivers it ~ 2 weeks

That's an idea, half the price of a MINI but not to keen on a Honda but thanks for the input.

Why not use your A4 2.0 as your Daily Driver? If I would have kept my A4 that would have been my DD but its days were numbered transmission wise...

MINIs have terrible reliability. I would probably steer clear unless you enjoy taking your car to the shop for repairs.

I'm looking into an X5. Not so much to save on gas though, more to keep the miles off the M. I have a 30 mile commute.
