That looks interesting. Didn't know this DIY yet, but have the same problem.

Haven't updated in a while. Got my headers installed last month. Took me and some buddies 2 days to do. Not hard but very time consuming. Especially without a lift. The headers paired with the TTFS tune completely changed the car. Much smoother and the increased power is great. Onto the next project which the UPS guy just dropped off.

Ground control coilovers I bought of forum member Lukass. (450/600 spring rates). This will be my first set of coilovers so I'm super excited to get these on. I previously had Tein springs on my first E46 and I will never go with just springs again. My buddy also has a pair of stock 18x9 waiting for me so I will be going with an OEM squared setup. I will also be installing the Rogue RTABs finally as well as I have recently noticed a lot of play in the rear end when I get on the throttle.

*Update 8-02-16*

Got the coilovers and Rogue RTABs on and car aligned this past weekend. Let me just start by saying, WOW. the car feels sooooo much more planted and in control than before. When I got my headers and tune installed I was a little disappointed because the worn out RTABs were giving the rear wheels a hard time to put the power down efficiently so I wasn't able to feel much of a difference. Now I can actually get on it without the looseness from the rear end. Got a nice drop and threw on the 18x9's in the front. Now I finally have the aggressive front fitment I've always wanted. I do need to get all 4 powdercoated soon and throw a spacer on the rear wheels to complete it all.

I also recently threw on new headlight lenses and a new windshield cowl. I love the big difference they make even if I'm the only one who notices them.

I have noticed my differential is weeping but from what I've read is that it is normal and nothing to worry about. Im going to drain it and refill soon and gauge how much I've actually lost and see if it is something i should be addressing soon.

What I would like to get done next but probably not anytime soon:
-CSL diffuser and trunk
-Front end respray along with the rear bumper
-Supersprint Race
-Subframe reinforcement
-Wheels
-Recaro SPG-XL

Been awhile since I've updated this so here we go.

Not much has changed with the car. A lot has changed for me though. I graduated a few months ago and I got a great job at a great Audi Dealership in my area. I got a company car (2018 Q5) so the M can finally sleep in the garage and receive the attention it deserves. Big things are ahead for the M and I! Here are a few pics from a few weeks ago with a buddy.

Time flies. Been over a year now and a lot has changed. Here are some pics of the car as it sits now and things that have been done. Progress will slow as I recently got engaged as well!

Parts installed:
- Apex Arc-8s 18x9.5 et35 squared with Michelin PSS 265/35/18
- HappyBuyItNow CSL Diffuser
- CPI Rasp Terminator
- Rogue Engineering X-Pipe with EVC
- SGT SCZA Exhaust
- Stoptech slotted and drilled rotors and stud kit
- ZHP Black Cube trim

Parts Awaiting install
- AutoSolutions 30% ssk
- 996 Brembos (piecing kit together)

Things needing attention
- Diff is seeping still. Need to address this when I get my subframe reinforced sometime this year
- Cooling system is starting to go. Expected at 120,000 miles and to my knowledge is all original
- transmission might have a mystery leak. Need to investigate further

Sweet car! Sunroof delete, 6MT, Cloth, and IR is a rare and highly coveted combo!
