Default SMG - Won't shift out of R in order to start car.

Ok so I pray to God that it is only the salmon relay but my car will not shift out of reverse into neutral in order to start the car. It literally has had ZERO problems up until this, no shift problems, not starting problems, nothing. I disconnected the battery to try and reset anything but it was to no avail. Has anyone experienced this?

Always have an extra salmon relay on your glove box.

This should almost be mandatory for us SMG owners.

Yeah I pressed on the brake pedal harder and it worked. What does that do?

Should I get a salmon relay?

if you already changed the salmon relay, then why have another one in the glove box? the likely hood of the relay going bad again is very slim

Weird. I'm curious about this, too, in case it happens to me.
