Default power brake problem 27e4 code

So I had a friend with a e92 m3 with cyl #3 had 0 compression. We got a replacement engine, and had it running for 2 days about 7 miles , 4 startups with o problems, then I get this 27e4 code brake booster plausability code, pump not running. I did notice after the weekend the brake pedal felt real hard line no power brake assist. The hard pedal was not consistent

So after doing some research on the forum, I end up getting the pressure sensor, I actually changed out the sensor and the line as well even though I had to bleed the master cyl after. I was still having the problem

the guy that sold us the engine was nice enough to lend us the pump off his donor vehicle to test out to see if that changes anything. No change

So I am really thinking about changing the brake booster, but trying to think of ways to not just throw parts at it to try to figure out the problem.

I have a power probe 3, my DVOM is broken, and I tried checking for power at the pump and it wasnt able to get good voltage readings on the plug, what am I supposed to be seeing?

Does anyone know how much power assist the pump does? Most normal cars dont use a pump

I will be borrowing my friends smoke tester when I have time. Anyone else have issues?

Default Re: power brake problem 27e4 code

I tried a smoke test with no results.

Does anyone know how often the vacuum pump runs? I dissconnected the plug and started the car and i dont get any voltage at the connector, do I have to backprobe it instead of just straight unplugging it? My fuses in the glove are all good. Anyone know which fuse it is? I dont have the map anymore
