Nice, sucks you have to go through it but at least it wont be taking your time as well!

Good to hear someone on the forum had luck with Prince wheel services. Im local to them and was considering using them for my wheels to get redone.

Looking forward to seeing the M5 back on the road

Wow, looks great. Got new bumpers and a nice paint job out of it, and you didn't have to spend a dime to get it!

Replaced the front pads (ferrado, the pads brembo supplies with their BBK, which I FAR prefer to the pads that come with the stoptechs), rotors (stoptech slotted), and added dust shields (previous ownerhad removed them, which was making the brakes wash out when it rained).

Project ended up taking WAY long than expected, because there was stupid amounts of rust between the hat and the ring. EVERY step of removing the hats from the old rotors was a huge PITA-- hardware needed to be heated and pb blasted Some still stripped), separating the rotors from the hats without the hardware was a 2 hour ordeal, and getting the original brass hardware out of the hats was another huge time suck. Once they were all apart, everything went back together reasonably fast.

New dust shield

NEMESIS (soaking in PB blaster)

Hardware out, now to just get them separated....

Washing my rotor in the kitchen sink, while the wife was trying to cook.

Eventual victory
