I hope I'm in the correct thread here. Looking for tires with a more "round" shoulder??? I am currently lowered on KW-V2 coilovers running Work VS-XX 19/9 front and 19/10 rear on Bridgestone RE-11s 245-35-19 Front, and 275-30-19 Rear. Sorry, I don't have my offsets right now. Before the RE-11s, I was running Toyo T1-R in the same sizes with 5mm spacers with NO rub at all. Ever since I installed the RE-11s, I immediately had rubbing in the rear, so I had my rear fenders rolled and the spacers taken off. The rubbing went away, but I have never been happy with the look. I want to put at least a 5mm spacer back on for a more flushed or aggressive look. The reason I went with the RE-11s is, I couldn't get the Toyos at that time. Then I was told that the RE-11 has a massive and square shoulder. I know that the tire companies go by their own specs, but I'm looking for the tire that will work better for me in the same sizes that I'm running...Any help will be appreciated

Anyone have any opinions of the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2, or the Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06? I'm hearing they are a little narrower and have a lower shoulder?

If you are only rubbing by 5mm you are gonna have either a car to drive or a car to look at!

I totally get it, but I would at least like to get the car back to where it was!

Just ordered Ventus, I've read mixed reviews mostly in regards to tread life. But for the price, I got them for $550 shipped on simple tire for a set of 235/40/18 and 255/40/18, I figured I'd try them. Performance looks great, and I'm not going with a super meaty fitment so I didn't need pilot sports or anything that expensive.

Any reason why this setup would have clearance issues: 18x9.5 +35 wheels, 10mm spacer in rear, 265/35/18 tires, ST coilovers. Thought this was a pretty common and recommended setup, but I just put new tires on and bumped from 255 to 265, rubber seems to hit the suspension in the front. Just need a good alignment??

Didn’t realize how much more meat these new Michelin 265s had versus my old Nexen 255s until I picked up the car, looks like I definitely need to raise the car a bit and get the alignment sorted out

Per what Ian said, get the spring perch up or, bigger spacer and more negative camber to then fit under the fender. Tire manufacturer by manufacturer, even in same stated size differ. That is why it's good to look at section width and tread width and other tire specs.Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
