^^ The 2nd wheel you posted was in the first two model years of the M5... The 02' and 03' models which had the mid-cycle changes including the large screen DVD NAV system got the other wheel..

so its a 2001 thats "just like the day it was driven off the dealerís lot" with a 02-03 wheel?

oops.. sorry... The 01' and later got the new wheel and dvd nav

Electronically limited to 155 mph. Once delimited, top speed around 187 mph indicated. So probably 180 mph actual with the deviation.
