Default M6 anyone?

Anyone own one that came from an E46 m3. With the way these have dropped in price the temptation is there. It would mean selling the m3 of course.
Shit you can get a low mileage IB for 30k. Seems like a no brainier unless the overall experience is crap. I'd easily spend close to that getting my m3 up to where I want it and it will still be a 200k mile inline 6 haha. It still wont be a 500hp v10 with arguably the best sound track on the planet.
Just thinking/dreaming/considering the options out there. Just loaded up my fcp cart with $1000 in parts just for suspension, that is getting old quickly haha.

Last of the high output NA motors for sure. If you can maintain it, why not? That V10 has be awesome to drive. For me, I wouldn't do it--no patience anymore for cars like these that get finicky over time.

I have an E60 M5 as a daily. It's an amazing machine, but I do find myself wishing it were a 6 speed (mine is SMG). That said, if you're sick of the cost of maintaining an E46, don't even think about one of these cars. Even an oil change is twice the price (it takes 9 quarts), let along if something serious goes wrong.

It's such a boat. Maybe you could gut it, but then that ruins it as the car is supposed to be more luxury than sport imo.

Well I'm hoping the low mileage helps with mainetenance and finicky. I don't have the patience for it either anymore especially without a nice garage to work in. Fortunately I won't have to commute for the time being so it will stay parked and used for weekends etc. Been thinking about for two whole days haha but can't get the car out of my mind. A nice IB on black, yummy.

Yeah, I think those are north of 4k lbs? Some of the feedback I heard/read is that they def ride more like luxury boats. And they just look so big...

Default M6 anyone?

I feel the the e63 m6s would be extremely maintenance heavy. They are now all either 10 years or reaching 10 years old. Im not a fan of the styling on those either. In my opinion Iíd keep the m3 until the current model m6s lower in price.

Edit: Unless your interested in it just for the motor, but donít want an smg m5( we all know how rare a 6spd e60 m5 is) then I guess thats your best bet. But if looking for an m6 in general Iíd wait for the current gen.

I thought the m6 weighed the same as the e90 m3....also, get a manual if you get one and replace the bearings. The smg on that car is even more problematic than the e46’s

Edit: wiki says 3770lbs. Not sure how accurate that is

Straight-line, these cars are beasts and border supercar territory...
