Default OEM BMW LED Interior Light?

Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is a repost, but I was just browsing realoem.com, and I found an OEM BMW LED Interior Light Kit. I selected "Europe" for the region of the M3 because it always shows more parts. It was under the Lighting category, under sub-category: "Accessories and Retrofittings." I'm not usually crazy about mods like these, but I just thought that it was interesting that BMW would offer such a "retrofit." But, when I tried ordering it on Tischer, it says that the part does not exist. I was just curious why that happened, when certain European parts can be ordered on their site. Let me know if anybody has any luck obtaining this. I don't wanna bother with the aftermarket ones. If the BMW one is available, I might get it just to try it out. If not, I'll just stick with the stock ones.

For your reference, this is what is says:

For vehicle passenger compartment only.
The LED modules are not approved for
installation in exterior lights.
Either one or several LED interior lamp
packages may be required depending upon
the number of interior lamps.
Socket configuration for LED module:
T10 (for replacing W5W and W6W bulbs).
Use for replacing Soffit bulbs
(C5W, C6W) is not possible
owing to different bulb shape.
---------------------------
No installation instructions, observe
instructions for bulb replacement /
headliner-mounted control module REP...
.
01 LED interior light package, small 1 63122212787 +core
Contains 4 LED modules for headliner
lamps (dome light, reading lamp).
02 LED interior light package, large 1 63122212788 +core
Contains 6 LED modules for headliner-
mounted lamps (dome lamp, reading lamp)
along with 4 LED modules for footwell
and door lamps.

I have tried many different led lights, but I have never been able to find some that work. Maybe because I have an '02, but I'll install all my lights, and then once I put the very last one in, they don't work. I've been told in the earlier models you need resistors to make it work, I'd really just love to find a kit that works for an '02.

LED Lights are weird. They are not standard at all. I have an 03 and my ebay interior kit works but they get awfully hot. The first set of exterior license plate LEDs i tried actually melted the housing. I tried a different set with similar specs and they worked fine.

Yea man, I have led license plate lights with no issues, but I just can't find interior ones that work, and I'd really love to upgrade them to all led interior lights.
