Default Mason Front Strut Bar Doesn't Fit

So I tried installing a Mason front strut bar on my '01 M3 today and it didn't even come close to lining up. My car has the ridges on the strut tower so its not flat like the '02+ M3's but I figured I could at least get it mounted on the strut towers.

Any tips? The bar is too wide, if I get one side over the strut studs, it extends past the other strut tower. I tried installing it with the car on the ground (suspension loaded). Will get a pic up later.

If it's close, jack up the front of the car t get it on.

Could be a bad bar. Or maybe your car was in an accident in the past and isn't straight.

Pretty sure you don't want to do that ...

Shoot. You have an early 01 model. So it will not fit. They dont accomodate for the bumps at the top of your strut towers.

Sorry for spacing on that.

But Rogue Engineering suggests that you get longer bolts and you may be able to get it to work. Rogue and Mason bars are the same (more or less)

Mine didn't fit at all at first either, then I realized I was putting it on backwards. Try flipping it around (honest answer). Lol
