Default Finally! I found my Estoril

So first of all I wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for there advice on the board while I was searching for a car. Even though it's a buyers market, if you have a specific idea of what you are looking for it is pretty darn cutthroat. I finally managed to find an M3 coupe that is just what I was looking for. I am currently in process of driving it back from Texas to CA but I snapped a couple quick pics. More are forthcoming! It's been extremely fun so far.

FYI if you are driving on the 10 West through West Texas at night... they are serious when they say the speed limit at night is 65 and not 80 like it is during the day... found out the hard way.

Also car has DS1's which the PO put on, he included the original set of contours which I'll put on once these tires run down.

Miles when I started the journey

That looks fantastic. Will look much better when you put the Contours on.

One of my Twins!!

Looks good congrats!!

2 Things I'd do:
Match the tails with the front corners, all amber, or all clear.
New rear M3 badge. Looks a little faded...

But that can all be done for pennies.

Must be nice buying cars that likely haven't even seen a snowflake.

I did the exact same thing as you! Congrats! I flew out to San Antonio and drove it back to Los Angeles in a day and a half. Took a nap break in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Funny thing is, I also got a speeding ticket in Texas at night. Was going 80 in a 65 too. I could barely understand the cop's heavy Texan accent.

Unfortunately that was the case until the PO took it to Utah for three years. There is some minor surface rust underneath, but nothing too concerning.

Clear Corners: This is actually the first thing on my list... for some reason the previous previous owner had cleared all the corners, and then the PO changed just the fronts to amber...

That is quite literally the exact same thing that I did, except it took me a day longer. I stopped for a night in Las Cruces, a night in Phoenix and now I'm back in LA. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same cop on the same stretch of road.
