It would be nice if someone posted a picture. I had my trans out last month and scrubbed it from top to bottom and there was no VIN on mine

That EH07533 VIN sticker is on a manual transmission, do the automatic transmissions also have a VIN on E36 M3?
I have checked on my 5HP18, can only find the ZF plate with ZF serial number, Stucklistennummer and model, but maybe the VIN is hidden somewhere I cannot see without removing parts?

In the long-run, a car that matches the build sheet will be the most valuable car. I agree. I'd like a 6-speed too, however, I will never buy a car that doesn't match the build sheet. If I need a 6-speed, I'm forced to buy a 46M or newer and at $15,000, I could find one.

I have my s50 connected to a 5hp18 and it's sitting on floor of garage with no sticker as well. Car is being converted to a manual.

Sorry but I think that's silly. If you are buying for a collection and not to actually drive, go for it. But really, for a driver car?

So if I offered you my car for $12K you wouldn't buy it because it in no way, shape, or form matches the build sheet? ok... Supercharged, 6 speed, 3.38, big brakes, BBS wheels....

Are you saying your car is for sale?
