Default E46 Alpina B3 S 3.3 Liter

I have come to learn that the Alpina E46 sold in Europe used a stroked 3.3 liter of our engines that went into the E36 M3 (96-99).

Has anyone had any luck sourcing one or any of the associated parts?

Thank you,

I thought the 3.3 was in an E39?

Alpina also did an E36 B3 3.2 version using the M52B28 stroked to 3.2.

I always believed it was based on the S52.

Lets not even start on the E36 B8 4.6 V8...

I love the E36 B8 4.6 V8. I have always, for some reason, had a fascination with an E36 with an M62 (or S62 ideally). Back in 2001 I had a '99 328 and got left for dead by an e36 badged as a 340i. That thing could have had anything under the hood, and most likely not an M62, but I still like to assume that it did. Makes the memory better haha.

M_Par,

How much would a motor cost me to import?

M54's used same crank as S52.

Can't remember what Alpina did with the single vanos vs. dual vanos though, been too long.
