thanks for remembering me and my car

i'd build another if I could, or ultimately wait a few more years and import the real deal

Resurrecting this sucker back from the dead after Photobucket decided to be asshat with their updated photo linking permissions.. After a solid hour's worth of work, I moved a few of the pics from this thread over to flickr, and while I was at it, decided to upload a few new shots to highlight some new additions.

First up, some analogue telemetry to round out the cockpit. Picked up this set up from LeatherZ and absolutely love how factory it all looks installed, even down to the lighting. The only thing I'm not particularly fond of is that your line of sight to the gauges isn't the best given the cluster is mounted a little on the low side.

Next up was a splash of nail polish on the LMs. I've always loved the pop that the red center caps give and really dig how it helps tie in the brakes hiding beneath. (ironically enough, it was overcast af the day i snapped the pic below, so you can't really see the brakes at all..)

and finally, this last section is a bit of a two-fer; ended up picking up a set of Brett's wickerbills, and swooped up a personalized plate for the purple people eater. The wickerbills came out very nice and added some noticeable down-force; enough to where i'm losing about 1-2mpg on long freeway drives, no joke.

What you see below is v2.0 of this plate since my first iteration was rejected. When DMV gives you lemons, you swap the 'A' for an '8' and make some lemonade, gents.

and here it is, all tied together.

all for now, folks.

Great looking car! I believe I met you several years ago in EG near Sac. We had a small get together with a couple E46 M3s, your e30, and my Cosmos E36. I think you knew my friend Ray with the Alpine M3, he lived in the same complex as you.

Anyways great looking techno, always wanted that color.

Hey man, good to connect again! I remember the cosmos and Ray's alpine vividly. are you still up in Sac? I'm up there fairly regularly, at least 1-2x/mo.

Those gauges really look good in person. Waiting on gurney flap 2.0
