Default Can I see the inside of your (empty) glovebox?

Ok this might sound like a silly question, but I'm trying to conform something.

Well I'm 99,9999% sure as it simply has to be, but just in case...

I'll explain after the result.

Thanks.

Guess I needed to be more specific, but I thought it would be visible anyways, but I was wondering about the glovebox light.

Is it orange?

Could've done a poll now that I think about it.

The lens is amber and the bulb is clear.

To not make this some riddle, I'm looking what color lens you guys have. I suspect all amber/orange.

The ETK actually answers it, but I thought I'd check. I once bought a glovebox, that came with amber lens. Now bought my cars have a white lense, which makes for much better light output.

After a quick exam of both colors, I noticed the white version, has a small pcb on it and an extra pin.
Turns out cars with the factory alarm, use the white lens with the extra pcb. The extra electronics (well diode) works to trigger the alarm when the glovebox is opened.

Checking both P/N's this is confirmed in the ETK.

At first I thought maybe this was a post/pre 9/95 thing, when BMW also changed the right hinge and put a damper on it so the lid/door just doesn't smack open.

So if you want to take "Euro" to the next level, get one and you can tell you have the Euro glovebox light
