I like that when you don't have to wash them, the anti rust coating doesn't get removed from the parts of the rotor that the pad isn't in contact with-- so the non contact area doesn't become all rust.

For all the positive word about stoptech, I'm amazed how much less I like my stoptech BBK than my Brembo BBK. Every aspect of it just seems... worse. Street pad options, caliper finish, rotor life, rotor cleaning requirements, knock back on the 6 piston kits.

I find ST's price to be much more agreeable

I thought about that VAC AP kit mentioned in the other thread, but knowing VAC, the brackets won't fit properly or something equally ridiculous.

I don't think it's a VAC bracket. I'm pretty sure they're just a distributor for them by Essex.

Im not a fan of the 6 pot kit. They also have the worst wheel clearance and the pads are a PIA to get in and out on every caliper Iíve worked with.

I love the 4 pot kits. You have an almost unlimited choice of street pads and great wheel clearance. Donít know if Stoptech got lucky but that caliper is near perfect for me.

What street pads are you liking in the 4 pots?I can’t find one I like! I’ve been debating moving that car back to stock brakes so I can use BMW pads.

Just look for a Porsche 968 brake pad. Just need to make sure you get the correct thickness. They come in (I think) 3 different thicknesses and 1 doesnít fit. I just use the ST pads but the OE Porsche pads or Textars might be a good choice.
