Default Roof Ledge Source?

Does anyone have a source to buy both driver/passenger roof ledges? Looks like they are backordered with all the big vendors.

I emailed my parts manager. Waiting on BMW stock reply.

FYI; it is best to order these from your dealer... they tend to actually care about making sure you get a good part. You can also inspect onsite. ECS and other companies have been known to fold these into a ball for shipping (destroying them)... or just taking no care to make sure they are padded for shipment.

I ordered new ones a few years back and they are starting to crack just like the old ones they replaced. But my car sits outside which is probably the reason why it has deteriorated so quickly. You might want to look into just painting them.

yeah at this point where they don't anticipate more for like a year from BMW, might as well just take yours off and sand and prime and go flat black..

Thanks for this info. I called BMW in May and they said there was 0 in the US and Germany was expecting mid August. I'll give them a call tomorrow!

How do these actually install?

I plasti-dipped mine in situ about 4 years ago now and they're still mint.

There is a body ridge that these press on to. Install can be tricky if you have never done it. Easy to ruin them if you go about the install wrong. Paint jobs done wrong (too thick) can make install very hard.

Installing; start at the rear corner and work to the front.
Removing; front to rear corner

^ thanks, didn't know this.

Altough I had guessed they would be very easy to damage.
