Default Introduction: My 97 M3

Hi everyone, I'm situated an hour away from Vancouver, Canada. 20 years old. Other than a part time job, I'm a student.

Fell in love with BMWs a few years ago when I got 96 318i. sure it was slow, but I loved the looks, quality and ride comfort. Sold it when I wanted to upgrade to an M3.

A Few months ago I picked up a 97 alpine with 150,000 miles. more miles than I'd like but the previous owner was a mechanic and loved the car just as much as I do (he was moving, and profession lead him to require a truck). That being said, everything was in mint shape. radiator replaced along with hoses and clamps, rotors and pads were brand new. put in bilstein shocks and H&R springs. was kept in a garage and was taken off the road every winter. regular oil changes and compression checks. Engine pulls like new, not a single drop of oil leaking anywhere. the car is so clean, original paint and no accidents. He was nice enough to give me his new $500 alpine deck with bluetooth for cell phones and ipod connector, on top of that his amp and 10" inch sub. And I picked up this beauty for $7500!!!

once I obtained it I put my own touch on things. I changed the DS2 rims for e46 m sport rims and painted them black. repainted all the side moldings. added a lip spoiler to the trunk. changed the amber tail lights for clear. painted the calipers red to give it abit of colour. I switched all the old fading bmw emblems for some new black and white ones I got sick of suv and truck headlights in my face coming from the rear view mirror so I got the windows tinted. And put in an active autowerke cat back which sounds awesome. I'm soon going to put in glass lense halo projector headlights.

anyways, on to the pictures

the day I brought her home

My personal touches

Sorry for the crappy background. Plan on doing abit of a photoshoot come better weather. Have to say, I've been through almost all of the "show pictures of your pride and joy" thread and its awesome to see all these m3s and not one looks exactly the same. All have their own personal look applied and respectively still stock looking.

anyways let me know what you guys think. have a good one.

Thanks guys. Yes, it came with alot of receipts of mechanical history.
$7500 doesn't seem that impressive if you're your from the states because the prices are usually lower.
I checked out ads in Seattle and on average they were asking two grand less for their cars.
Asking price of m3s in the US were around $8000, while in Canada they were $10,000.
Damn I hate our prices. Was thinking about importing from the states but it would have cost me a couple thousand.

Nice car. I really don't like the painted "bmw" on the front bumper trim.

Great looking car but, I have to agree with Brent.

Most of M3F are more of the OEM types.
