Default Jack Points and Jack Stands on e46 m3

I am leaving the country for 6 months and wanted to put my car on jackstands to avoid tire flat spots.

I found the front jack point on the car. But where do I lift in the rear?

Also, anyone have pictures or diagrams to show the safest places to place the jack stands on all four corners?

Thanks,
Frank

There are 4 rubber lift pads in four spots around the car. The fronts are behind the front tires, and rears are in front of the rear tires. They are right underneath the body molding on both sides of the car. Bend down and look...you'll find them. Use those 4 points to support your car while you're away.

Dan Law reccomends not to jack on the two rear rubber mount he says they have a tendence to bend. Just jack where the rear strut brace that v looking thing is mounted to the frame.

I would not let the suspension 'hang'...I would do this...

get four 9" concrete blocks...with a floor jack in the center and a 2x4 to distribute the load, jack up one side & slide the blocks (flat, not on end) under the rubber pads...repeat for other side

this will take the load of the tires and suspension...also put the max air pressure in the tires...

I have no idea why he would say that. I've never head of them bending.

Think about it...when the M3 is placed on a lift...the lifting points are placed under the rubber lifting pads. That's what they were designed for...lifting the car. Dealers use them all the time when working underneath your car...depending on the type of lifts they have.
