Default Looking for the previous owner of a '01 Titan Silber Coupe (JR11666)

Hello,

I've recently purchased a '01 Titan Silber Coupe as my first M3 which has arrived without any service records in the glovebox, so this is my last straw in trying to find out what/if any maintenance/repairs were done to the car in the least years before I dig in and do everything anyway.

It's a 2001 Titan Silber 6-Speed Coupe (VIN = JR11666).
Has ~192k Miles on the clock and was previously registered in Pennsylvania.

If this was your car at some point in history, please contact me.
Or if you're somebody who has access to BMW dealer records and could find out what repairs/maintenance has been done, I'd be forever in your favour.

Thanks a lot everyone and greetings from Switzerland!

How did a 192,000 mile 2001 from PA end up in Switzerland?
(as in, feels like if you're spending the money to import a car, you'd start with a newer example)

Could of been a previous military dude that shipped his car over and left it there. But that would be a good story

Carfax says its invalid VIN. Its either a made up VIN, or it is not a US-VIN.
Something is really fishy here.

I have also called my dealer SA buddy, and he says there are no M3 VIN with these last 7. So take it for what its worth.

This VIN (WBSBL93461JR11666) works. This car has 65 entries at carfax. Google gooffood for a cheap carfax report.

I hope the car was really cheap. Quite a lot needs to be repaired. Wish you all the best.

I already checked the carfax, but there's nothing important listed in there, a dealer should have more information, right? (only "major" repair listed was a valve cover gasket replacement in '09)

He probably meant in terms of body damage repair since it's a salvage title (assuming it's the car listed here: https://autoauctions.io/app/6002944/2001-bmw-m3-ci)

As far as maintenance records go, you should just do a full inspection 2, check all the bushings/mounts, etc. Easy enough to spot all wear items. Suspension probably needs to be refreshed as well. Basically just go in there and start eyeballing everything yourself

yeah suspension etc maintenance items are a clear thing, i'm more interested in (for example) were the rod bearings ever done? or maybe they were done semi-recently?
