Hey everyone, I have a set of OEM ZCP rims in my attic that I'm planning on getting refinished. Currently they are powder coated gun mental grey. I am wanting to return them to the stock OEM color, sometimes called hyper silver by other manufactures. The website I am ordering the powder from is https://www.prismaticpowders.com/
Do you have any recommendations for the powder that will provide the closest match to OEM? I realize they are originally painted from bbs so they will never be what they once were. Is BMW silver what I should go for? Silver metallic II, Porsche Silver, and Satin silver all look close... Thanks!

Can you email/call those guys and ask? I'm sure they know these things best.

Recently i've picked up my zcp wheels, they have powder coated them in "platinum silver" with at of a gloss paint that was treated also with temperature like powder coat, imo it is very close to OEM

I had the Alpina wheels on my E30 powder coated using Prismatic Powder (Porsche silver). Side by Side w my zcp wheels it’s not the color you’re prob looking for.

Mine was recently done with prismatic BMW silver. darker than the zcp color.
I'd try Pacific Silver or hyper silver if I was to do it again for OEM match. Otherwise I'd go with something metallic red with gloss.IMG_20181025_212758_940.jpeg Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I did a lot of research on the matter and was looking at prismatic powders as well for this winter.
The platinum has too much flake to match the oem csl color. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
