I actually own those RMS headers now and have them cleaned up if you want better photos.

Nice thread OP, thanks for the post.

- In the pic labeled 'Here is a comparison between the two. Top: V1 w/ Supersprint Race Cats. Bottom: V2 w/ Supersprint S-Pipes',
it looks to me like the top are the V2s, and the bottom are the V1s.
I may be wrong, but thought I'd ask the question.

- Can anyone direct me to a document that states that the cats in the USA headers are 400 cpsi (vs 200 cpsi)?
When I read the Arvin Meritor document about the E46 M3 exhaust system, it indicates that the cats for the USA cars are located in the headers,
but it does not indicate that they are otherwise different than the 200 cpsi metallic cats in section 1 for the Euro cars.
No doubt, I'm missing it somewhere, and hope someone can point me to the source of the 400 cpsi info.

I have never seen so many headers and exhaust made for one model car (E46 M3) , its looks like BMW rely screw up on the N/A models , great write up on all the different systems ,now its just to sift trough and see which one is best for you

Having seen the insides of both, I'm pretty sure the US cats are also 200cpsi. They are larger in diameter though; there's likely more catalyst material over all
