I think I found a kreissieg clone, seems it has an electronic valve over kreissiegs vacuum line? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111510-En.../132334089746?

Tempted to try it for that price, I can't imagine they've sold many if any so will try my luck for a better price..

Catless headers (not sure what brand, looks like AP or ebay headers)
AR-20 welded into stock section 1
Manzo muffler

Looking into getting a SS or SG section 2 X pipe, unresonated. Thoughts? Shaves about 15lbs, not sure how it will change the sound.

Is this thread still being updated? I think most of us know that there's been recent additions to the E46 M3 exhaust market.

Default Manzo section 1 "S" pipes

Didn't know where to post this exactly, but this is a good thread for it and I couldn't find any others talking about this section 1 I just bought:

Manzo 2.5" unresonated section 1 pipes stainless steel. part #TP-223

$119 shipped from a vendor on ebay. They came very fast, without damage.

I was looking for an oversized straight piped section 1 to modify and was very happy to confirm that these are not only 2.5", but slightly larger than that actually! Almost a full 2.4" ID and 2.525" OD These are so much bigger than the stock pipes lol Luckily the piping isn't too thick (like some out there), so these aren't heavier than OE.

Not sure what combo of crossover/resonators/cats I'm going to go with, but this is a great platform to start with! I think them being unconnected will make install even easier as well (unless I add an H, then I need a jig). Also, the end of the piping, where it meets the flange at the sect 1/2 joint, is nice and smooth and round with no burrs or issues which is great to see.

I was considering other midpipe options like CPI, SGT, AP, Megan, but I couldn't confirm the ID, it seemed to be 2.25" on them, so I'm super happy with 2.39" ID on these! Too bad Manzo's headers have crappy fitment, the mufflers sound like ass, and the sect 2 x pipe is only 2.5" ID instead of 3 or 3.25" like supersprint. Oh well, at least the sect 1 is a winner! Oh and they weigh 15lbs per shipping label (maybe a hair less if you subtract the packaging and included hardware - maybe 14lbs).

Nice find! Now, we just need a GB on some quality HFC.

Thanks! Ya I know, I'm finding some generic HFCs on ebay for about $80-100 for a 2.5" pair with 4" body and like 10" length, not sure on quality though. The magnaflows are double/triple that $, but probably better by some margin. No, I don't expect OE quality for this price obviously. I'm practical and am just looking for enough cat efficiency to kill the smell. If it's enough to also pass the drive cycle O2 readings, great, if not, I'll throw my euro sect 1 back for the bi-annual smog test.

Default Re: E46 M3 Definitive Exhaust Guide

Hey all,

Received almost everything for my SMG to 6MT swap and was considering doing the exhaust at the same time. Possibly headers back but minimum section section two and three.
I plan to get the Milltek center section and muffler. I am considering the euro headers with maybe the status gruppe section 1 with high flow cats. Anyone know if this setup will eliminate the rasp noise or should i stick with the stock headers and get the rasp eliminator section 1?

Thanks

Did you ever end up installing this? Seems like a nice piece for the money.

Default Re: E46 M3 Definitive Exhaust Guide

Yep, ran them for a bit, but then upgraded to stepped headers V1 with 2.5 V1 section 1. Sold them to a local forum member.

They're great for the price, but a bit unnecessary- why bother with 2.5" midpipes if you're still running stock size headers (stock, euro, AP, sgt, et al).

I think they'd work well as a project for someone who wants stepped headers on a budget since stepped headers require a 2.5" sect 1. You'd have to have a muffler guy change the connection to a slip fit ala ss v1 sect 1, but then you could also get some cats welded in. Much cheaper than buying ss v1 sect 1 with hjs cats for $3500 lol, but obviously not the same quality. Even the non catted ss sect 1 is 4 or 5 times the cost of this manzo part. Fitment was ok, them being seperate pieces actually makes it easier.

Default Re: E46 M3 Definitive Exhaust Guide

Looking for a light weight section 1/2/3 with resonators and as little rasp as possible to go with my current fabspeed header. I see AP's titanium muffler but not sure what other options near the same weight.

Also looking for thoughts on Section 1 and 2 to pair to it.

Appreciate any thought and info.

Edit: adding that I spoke to Agency Power and they have discontinued their resonated section 1. They told me on the phone that they are concentrating on staying relevant with newer platforms. I also asked if they knew the brand of resonators in there Section 1 and they said no brand name, just all done together...
