Just received another email from Xtron this morning. Looks like 7.1 units will have separate bluetooth and wifi chips. They acknowledged the interference trouble up to now and noted that this should fix it. Other things they already have in the 6.x units...2gb ram, quad processors, 16gb+ storage. Still saying a few weeks before the units start to be released.

Does anyone know if the Xtron units support factory PDC and reverse backup camera functions? As in do the PDC INTEGRATE with the backup camera and beep as factory?

I'd rather be at the track.

I believe it does. I dont have a backup camera but my head unit looks for it by default every time I put the car in reverse.

Looks like Xtron released their Android Nougat 7.1 devices. Anyone successfully upgrade the previous version?

Yes works with factory nav. Although you won't be using any of the original nav anyway. Main difference is you have to get the cable extension harness and run it to the trunk because that's where the factory nav runs out of

Do you know if these are available for sale yet? Considering getting one but would like to have one with the latest version already installed.

Not to be crass, but have you even looked? It's the front-page graphic on Xtrons website this morning, and have been available on Amazon and eBay from Xtrons for 2+ weeks now as well as their website.

In regards to "latest," the Android 7 units are on slightly different hardware, quad-core and 16gb memory instead of the latest Android 6 units that they put on octa-core and 32gb memory, but both have 2gb RAM and the Android 7 units have separate wifi and bluetooth chipsets which was a source of many complaints about the Android 5/6 hardware.
