Yeah he is working on it. Just busy with family at the moment.

On the other hand really looking forward to this kit coming out. What a great plus for the community and for us SMG lovers.

Mine is a 02/2002 build date and also has the ABS unit in the drug bin. At what point in production did they move it?

Yes, and no doubt will his be great once it eventually comes out, but having waited for a year now while it has been in discussion, I just don't see any reason to continue to wait longer for his development to begin. There is no telling when his will ever be available and as I wait, my SMG is just soaking up heat from my engine in these hot summer months. I wanted to get this done last winter, but just continued to delay it hoping that his would be available before summer. Seeing how simple this really is, I don't see any reason to continue to wait any longer, this is a perfect project to tackle and should be easy for Idontknow2005 and I to handle ourselves.

SMG gets such a bad rap because of heat related issues. Man this could be a game changer.

My thoughts exactly. It also makes it easy to do things like swap out the accumulator, electric motor, or temperature sensor, if ever needed. Should solve a lot of problems all in one. An actual solution and not just a bandaid.

No hard feelings at all!
I completely understand that you've lost patience waiting for my kit.

That said, I am working on it but it's just a challenge to juggle and prioritize all the projects and obligations.

And my kit will be targeted for the 2003.5 and up M3's which do not have the ABS/DSC unit in the drug bin.
So your kit will certainly be a desired offering.

You know me Vince, I will always stand by your products and reputation. You are a first class engineer and your products are always top notch. I recommend your subframe solution to everyone (on here and in real life). You are an asset to the community. I totally understand the challenge of juggling priorities and on going projects, it's a real struggle. Just need to get my SMG sorted since the heat has just gotten hotter here and it's causing me to change my driving habits/time I run errands. I'd hate to rebuild the unit only to put it right back next to the heat-death source.

if you come up with something for 02 models with no drug bin i'm very interested. I've yet to have a heat problem with mine but it's one of those things that i'm sure will happen sooner or later.

i've seen people mount it where the passenger seat should be in track cars, Trunk sounds like a good idea for street cars.

Do you have an issue drilling a hole in the floor board of your trunk? It will fit perfectly in the little recess under the carpet. The only issue is that there currently isn't a access hole to run the hydraulic lines through. I personally think the trunk is a better location, but im sure there won't be many people who are willing to drill a hole through the floor
