Yup. I agree with this assessment. I think I've listened to a handful of videos of M3 owners with SS Sport Section 3 with everything else stock. They all sound slightly different and when I finally installed mine this weekend, it sounds nothing like all the videos.

To my ear, much better than the videos I watched, weather it be with decent head phones or through speakers.

We have confirmed they do fit on the E36 M3, but have not tested the Z3M. They should fit without problems because the chassis is very similar.

So... I finally bought the hardware to install the headers. I've been so busy with work lately.

Would it be important/helpful to others to get an independent dyno run on my m3 before installing? I plan on getting the car tuned at TTFS this Fall.

My current m3 is bone stock from a power standpoint. Or, can we just rely on already stock dyno pulls? Thoughts?

If you are asking for the most scientific method, it would be to do a stock dyno, install/tune, and then do another dyno at the same location, preferably on the same day. The location should also be one that has no vested interest in the results(eg: not TTFS' dyno or ARH, not that the latter seems to have one).

I for one would be willing to pitch in some $$ to you for a pre headers dyno at the same non affiliated dyno and I'm sure others would join me, really really want to see real world gains. We really need to put this to rest although somehow I see argument continuing even after some real evidence for good/bad is produced.
