Default Re: Delete ABS

Put the fuses/rear sensors back and disconnect one of the front abs sensors. It should give you speedometer and no abs.

Because ABS will try to kill you. If you aren't familiar with how to reset your ABS properly during ice mode you will go into a concrete barrier doing 100mph(at least at my local track)

I won't delete my abs because I've gotten a good habit of squeezing my brake instead of stomping em, i do much less trail braking etc. But if you have abs you will go through ice mode one day. And if you don't know what ice mode is you might literally die.

Disabling ABS is for safety purposes before anything else

ice mode isn't really an issue on the e46, like it is on other chassis.

As in it's not a glaring issue? It's still a thing that happens and if you don't know how to reset it you will probably have a fatal result. I happened to read about ice mode the night before it actually happened to me. I never would have known I was supposed to take my foot OFF the brake otherwise to save myself from the computer

Sounds a little over dramatic... if it was "probably" fatal, there'd be waaay fewer e46 m3 owners out there.

Driver mod > blaming the system.

For drifting, however, I can see where you wouldn't want ABS to intervene. Let us know what you find, OP
