Ugh, such a huge loss...he was one of the first concerts that I ever attended...sitting on a loan at Lake Compounce, drinking cheap schnapps from a flask...and with a cute blonde from Miss Porters that gave me terrible road head on our way back to farmington...

Just saw him on HBO in that special with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine about music legends. Worth a watch! RIP to one of my favorites. Cut my teeth as a kid on KLOS 95.5fm and arrow 93.1 playing Petty pretty much everyday.
