Personally I like the Lagavulin as well, but if you find it a bit too peaty or smokey then a really nice scotch is the Edradour - http://www.totalbeveragesolution.com/edradour/

If you DO like the Lagavulin then a Laphroaig - http://www.laphroaig.com/ is in the same vain, maybe a little more affordable.

As far as a blended goes, I'm a sucker for Johnny Walker Blue!!

My favorite has always been Royal Salute made by Chivas. And also been a fan of Johnnie Walker Blue Label as well.

I'm starting to "get" scotch a bit more. Still think I prefer bourbon, but I certainly appreciate Scotch. I'll keep working at it.
