^I stopped using E36 mode. Sport button behaved weird, like it needed to be wired diferently, and a few other oddities.

If you need help, PM me and we can talk over the phone. My cruise control in my E30 S54 (now sold on BaT) worked the first time I tried with those changes.

Thank link you point to of mine, points again to github, which has 2 youtube videos of how to get tunerpro/cable running and then how to use tunerpro, at least for the swap. I expect people to read github and M3forum to understand what Tunerpro is doing....I did my first startup w/o Tunerpro.

Z3Ms never actually came with sport mode, but a few have retrofitted it and it seemed to work properly. Euro Z3Ms do have it disabled completely in the tune though.

Great tool, was able to removal SAP DTCs on my S62 swapped 740i.

I was hoping the EWS delete would work so that I can get a second key without a clip to start the car.

Can anyone confirm that is not how the EWS delete works?

Correct. If you want to avoid using a proper key you'll need to bypass the EWS module entirely.
