Fantastic build, I'm hooked. Are certain years of the 325i touring better for this conversion?

Post facelift is easier to make work electronically.

Would that be 2002 and later?

how are you going to do your M3 mirrors?

i do a ton of M3 mirror conversions for sedans and coupes that have the newer Ribbon cable bus type system which is just ridiculous.

hopefully your wagon is facelift in appearance BUT not facelifted in the mirror bus system area.

if your mirrors are still the 6/12 pin type then thats awesome and will be as easy as just repinning or plugging the m3 mirror connectors into the mirror door modules behind the door cards.

those of us that have ZHPs got the ridiculous ribbon cable system where the mirrors are the modules so its a ton more work electronically and we have to retrofit the entire ribbon cable mirror motor into the M3 mirror housing.

I believe late model 2004 and all of 2005 e46 also got the newer bus mirror system.

best of luck wagon is looking great!

Idk, haven't pondered it that deeply. It's a late 2004 production, so here's hoping it has the updated module. I grabbed the non ribbon mirror modules from an e46 coupe when I was at the junk yard the other day, so that's another route I might possible go.

I kind of forgot about the mirror project... I should probably get back on that. They're painted and everything

I saw this on IG when you posted it up.

Congrats on the M3 Touring! I'm super jealous. I'm honestly surprised you didn't try to build this yourself!

I did the math and it wasn't more expensive to buy it complete than to build my own... and it was a lot easier this way

All 03/2003+ sedans/wagons and all 09/2003+ non-M coupes/convertibles got the ribbon mirrors- exception might be cars without power/memory seats.
