hello! not am M3 owner yet. but own a subaru and motorcycle

hello everybody! im new

. been a member for a few months now scouring the for sale forum. currently not a M3 owner yet, hopefully by end of summer. i currently own a 2004 Subaru WRX. will miss the turbo and AWD after i sell it. but been in love with the E46

for many years now. not to offend anyone, but i need to step away from the **** rocket-ish phase and join the M alliance. i also own a 2011 Cbr1000rr Honda Repsol. so i love speed and control!... wish me luck in my auto-shopping.

Good luck finding a car! read up on the forum about common problems, thing to watch out for, etc. do your research and get a PPI done before buying

You'll be happy with your decision. I had a 04 wrx, 04 sti and 02 wrx (built everything) among others before my first m3. Now I've had an e36 and 2 e46's and currently have a 05 zcp m3. You'll love it, and miss the turbo less than you think

thanks fellas. i appreciate it. quick question. see.m3.go, anything else i should do/look for before purchasing? or will the PPI cover everything i need to worry about? rexxin, haha thanks. makes me a little more confident in my decision, especially coming from a past subie owner. yeeee

A good PPI would be a pretty thorough inspection, make sure they check the subframe for cracks. just do your research on common problems and youll end up with a nice reliable ///M

No problem!

Things I look for with these cars:

1) Service records. Not incomplete, questionable, missing pieces etc.
2) I usually talk to the dealer that the seller takes the car to
3) Carfax, for what its worth
4) Rod bearing recall done, and Subframe inspection done.
5) Check subframe yourself again
6) Inspection 1 & 2 done or how soon they will need to be done
7) Then normal thorough checks.
