For everyone that posted that they are having the same issue as me, are you guys hearing a creaking or squeaking noise? I ask because its probably completely different issues. Mine sounds like a really short creak, ALMOST like a 'strong tick', if that makes any sense.

I have the same issue. Had my car checked many times and nobody was able to find anything wrong with it. So I just gave up. Do you live in the Northeast or somewhere that gets cold? I ask because mine creaks in the winter only when the temperature is consistently below 50 degrees.

After replacing my suspension to PSS10's, the sound got considerably less frequent. But I now have a sound from the compression of the Bilstein springs.

Yeah I'm the second owner. I purchased my car in Connecticut and I live in NYC! So my car was and still is in cold weather in the winter.

I had the loud "Tick" your describing. Unfortunately my issue was bad balljoints and replacing the control arms is the cure. $300 a piece. After that issue was solved I began to hear a Squeak from the front suspension on even the smallest bumps. After being told it was without a doubt the FCAB's I ordered Polyurathane bushings from bavauto. After installing them the squeak was still there and Im still hearing the squeak. Anything else it could be other than FCABs?

Did anyone ever find a solution to this issue? My front suspension is creaking pretty bad especially with weight shift (ie entering exiting drive way one front wheel at a time)

This may be lame, but just watched show Wheeler Dealers, and they referb'd an M5 with same symptoms. The top of the strut has a rubber bushing that was trashed, the very top 'cap' that basically you see at the top of the tower. That was the issue on that... Like everything on that show, it looked like a simple fix. All you need is an Edd China tool and it's fixed in minutes for nearly no money.

I also have the same issue -03 convertable 45k. More of a squeek under acceleration or corners and mines coming from the drivers side rear wheel area. Just replaced Rtab's and rsm's but doesn't seem to matter. Could it be subframe? God, I hope not.
