Do these cause any error message? I just ordered the 36mm (2x5050) 2-LED ones.... I hope these are nice....

that happens with any small outside bulb you might replace with LEDs. Not an issue and they simply stay on until with the car's computer. To check this, just look at your dashboard after you lock the car and the LEDs should shut off when the dashboard does too.

No error messages here. If I find time when it's dark out I'll try to take some pictures. I was looking for lights that weren't overwhelmingly bright, but were white in color and I think these do the job well. There's still a cutoff line on the ground but it's not as bad as others I've seen.

Good to know... Can't wait until they get here. I'll post some pics as well when they come for others to judge

I just bought this one. It is a close match to the LED I have in my back up camera. They are usually in stock at your local Advance Auto Parts. Not as bright as some of the vendors on here, but I don't like them that bright, no need for aircraft to be able to read your license plate at night.

I bought these too as I was looking for something that emitted white light without rivaling airplane landing lights - and for that they're perfect.

Only thing is I noticed that they seem to stay on at a reduced brightness after shutting down the car. They do finally turn off after about 15 minutes. Does your car do the same?

Seems as though most LEDs do this unless you are running resistors.

Haven't gone out to take pictures of them on the car but here are pictures of the 36mm ones from DDM Tuning. They're labeled so you can see which is which. Also the pictures show front and back. I like the ones with 2 LEDs because they're not as bright and actually enclosed in a capsule while the one with 4 LEDs are exposed.

I know the LED in my back up camera stays on for a while. I hadn't noticed the one I bought from Advance staying on, but it probably does but the other one stays pretty bright so I just might not have noticed it.

These are the exact ones I ordered ..... Do these have resistors built in? I'm asking because I heard you only get a warning from LED's with out resistors and these supposedly give off no warning lamps....
