Default E46 m3 value and desirability?

Seriously considering mixing it up. Past dozen years I Have had a manual e36 m3 4 door. I put only 500 miles on it last year. Most likely been holding onto it because it's Rare and mechanically needs nothing.

Looking at no option 2003 e46 m3 white with black cloth
Only known options h/k and xenon.
(No sunroof, no forged 19" wheels, no power seats, no nav,)
98k, no wrecks, 2 owner car, dealer maintained its entire life.
Vanos and bearing recall completed. Stock.
Needs rear tires and probably shocks/suspension

No options is highly desirable for enthusiasts and for everyday joe's is seems to be the opposite.

$15,500
Price seems right is no options desirable?
Id check if its 2003 vs 2003.5 since that is the cut off for the "facelift" what type of cloth interior? if its M-Cloth it is more desirable. last part would be if its Manual

otherwise its a pretty good set up and the price seems fair

desirable for what? to me, no thanks. and i still consider myself enthusiastic about this car.

if you want to start a track car, then yes i think starting out with less (weight) makes sense.

The car is a manual

What does M cloth look like? Black leather bolsters with striped cloth on doors and centers of seats

white color with black is second only to LSB. LSB really seem to go for a premium.

Also can anyone tell me about the power seats? Read somewhere you can adjust the back bolsters

Any things I need to look for at 100k? subframe is fine. No wrecks or repaints

Seller seems to be a straight shooter.

Thanks guys.

I have a deposit on the car and am really excited about it.

Options I would miss are the sunroof.

the bolsters/lumbar support is an option so you would need to find out if it has it

Different cloth. I do wish it was the m cloth or imola red.

Car is a 2003 not 2003.5. Happy it has xenon.

trying to attach pics

I suspect it's a base model someone special ordered with no options. Most dealers have a hard time selling base models.

Also I won't track it. Probably only will put about 2500 mile/year.
Again just wanting to switch it up some after 12 years.

Seems like a good deal to me. I paid $13k for my 2002 with all options in mint condition with 2 owners and 95k miles.

However, no major maintenance was done except the rod bearing recall. The car had no accidents and was at the dealer every 5k miles on the carfax as well.

I'd much rather have one with less options. The nav is a completely outdated and most of the options are useless to me. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the same car without options. I can keep the e36 M3 for a little while, but might change my mind fast after 13 hour drive
