how lucky for you to have that many stealers within driving distance.. my closest alternative was 1.5 hours away.. and their response when i asked them about the retrofit flash was "sir we dont have anything like that here we can try and order it for you." LOL... sigh. i didnt even bother trying to explain what it was because if they dont know it by the name, you have no chance of a success.

I have a 2001. Can anyone confirm if I can use an LCM from a 2003.5+, get it reflashed and not get the tamper dot?

I have been reading through this thread with mixed opinions

That thread is pretty old. There have been significant strides made in E46 coding since then.
