You said that if it says N when in the neutral position it will work 100%? I have a 2002 SMG and it says 0 when in the neutral position. will it still work? and when did they make the change?

Anyone have a suggestion? Out of a lack of patience I cut the plastic wire connector of the shift knob to speed up my installation when I was going for basic illumination. Where can I find another one of these connectors to properly wire this up again? Thanks a lot.
