Paid 9300 for a 97 M3 Sedan with 131k miles on it. Exterior and interior of the car are about 8/10 as the hood was repainted and the seats were replaced at some point. Previous owner put 10k in fixes into it prior to my purchase. Found out power steering system is toast, 1 rear axle is gone, and all the bushings in the back are timed out. Motor pulls like a truck though. Super happy with the purchase.

1995 hellrot red coupe purchased online with no PPI. 158k. Had been in front end collision but hood/ nose piece was replaced (primed but not painted) Came with all/most records since new. $6000 + 600 to ship up from TX.

Although we discussed the accident and what was broken/fixed seller forgot to disclose bumper was cracked/ broken in several places. May need to replace, but I am trying to fix to avoid painting a new one. It's already off car and being worked on.Outside of hood, looks to have all original body parts with vin stickers.

Oil looked old and thick on dip stick. Changed less than 5k miles ago but could have been over a year or more. Car was driven about 1x a month. Wicked valve cover leak and power steering appears to have been leaking for some time. Otherwise engine looks snd sounds great. New cooling system( rad, water pump, etc). Clutch was supposedly replace at 130k, but unfortunately no record of that. OEM Shocks and struts have less than 30 k, but car will need control arms, maybe tie rods and possibly steering rack (makes binding noises). Maybe more. ABS light on.

Driver door panel falling off with multiple broken clips and broken interior frame piece, but otherwise interior probably above average. Needs a good armorall/ leather restoring.vDoesnt need but ill replace cheap shifter nob. Aftermarket but period correct radio/cd player.

Tires would pass inspection but need to be replaced. Mismatched and fairly old. Passenger door handle only works after 4/5 pulls. Sunroof works but doesn't tilt. Minor ding and surface rust in back quarter panel, trunk piece. Window trim pieces are pealing and rusting but can be repaired. Otherwise no rust. Couple of door dents that look like they can come out with PDR.

Car is more work than I anticipated but think it will look/ feel great when completed. Always wanted a hellrot m3. New valve cover, fluids, new plugs, suspension freshened up and possibly exhaust coming in the next month. Paint only after everything else.

oh, I can add to this, too. Back in early Jan (so 3 months ago) I got a 98 3/4/5 with 139k miles on it for $7,300 plus $600 to ship from FL to TX.

Clear coat is bad on roof and spoiler. Driver's side fender has been previously replaced. Slight dent in the hood and a few scratches on the bumper.

Interior is all good, although the leather is drying out, so I need to condition it.

Needed: all new cooling, new brake pads and rotors, PS leak fix, sunroof wasn't working at all, it's missing a pillar trim, trunk latch sheetmetal was torn, rear shock mounts worn (but reinforment plates were installed already), valve cover gasket was leaking in the spark plugs and to the outside of the engine.

the good: tires fairly new and all matching, 60k on new clutch (M5 clutch and UUC flywheel), Dinan tune with conforti intake and dinan exhaust, koni shocks about 60k miles old

I'm not quite to the point of hitting the $10k mark/rule, but I will be there within a year I bet.

'96 Hellrot/Modena M3, 165k, $7,700
Arizona car, bought without a PPI, though we talked extensively about records and repairs.
Need front struts (I'm aiming to do TC Kline coil overs all around (500/600)), tie rod end joints, a/c tensioner and belt, control arm bushings...
Came with chromed dsII's (yuck), so I took advantage of the Apex group buy (17" Arc-8 9" that I'll mount 245/40 PSS's on.
Exterior is 8+/10 with some clear coat issues on the sunroof and passenger A pillar. Interior it 7/10 with a questionably redone drivers seat, headliner...
Can you tell I'm stoked? No? Well, I am!

Guys looking to get M3/4/5 and must be slicktop and have current maintenance records. Exterior/interior condition should be above average, what's a fair price considering mileage between 120K-150K miles?
