Default SoCal M3f.net Meet up/Charity Raffle

Hey all, for the past month or so I've been working to get something put together with the goal of bringing back the old camaraderie days of the M3forum meet ups. I know some of you are like me, in the sense that the typical parking lot meet ups just arent interesting, or of any worth in driving an hour+ through socal for some parking lot pimpin. What I used to look forward to, back when I went to car stuff, was the caravan/drive to the event, for example the original Bimmerfest, back when it was held in Santa Barbara, or the early days of Mfest, before it became a wild west drive for you life to Vegas.

I hope we all can setup a Southern Californian M3f meet up, maybe 2-3 times per year, where we all pool together from our regions here and pick an interesting road or place, to drive to. From Mulholland to Palomar Mountain, there are some great drives to do.

Now the part most of you will want to hear about. To help incentivize everyone to drive, and to use our hobby to do some good, I'm also working on putting together a raffle of local shops and vendors products & services. Every $.cent of it will go to a local Southern California charity of the community's choosing. Here's a list of Southern California's top ranked charitys

Date: ??January?

Location: Mulholland Drive/Neptunes Net

Charity: ???

Caravan points: San Diego (somwhere in Carlsbad? Need locals suggestions)

Orange County Los Angeles/Everyone else

Drive Route:
Stage 1

Stage 2

Caravan from Carlsbad

Caravan from OC

Caravan from Santa Monica

PS: If any member wants to help coordinate/lead caravans etc, please PM me. It's not a ton of work, but I have no doubt I could use the help!

Remember that monster shunt of his in Canada? The next day, as he walked out of hospital, a journalist asked him if he'd seen the crash on TV. Robert Kubica stopped, looked the journo right in the eye and said: "I've seen it twice: the first time I was there!"

I think it'd be easier to coordinate once there is a date. What about January 6th?

That would be great if you could pull it off!

Sounds good, hows the 6th or 13th? Just to give everyone a chance to get back from vacations?
