Default Doug does a Pagani

Trust me. I hate him. More than licorice. But this video is fantastic. The Pagani is just a work of art....

The story of Horacio Pagani is pretty impressive overall. But to me what stands out is his vision into technologies of the future. In 75 he designed and built a Carbon Fiber monocoque racing car for the Renault formula 3 series in Argentina (standard power-plant - Bring your chassis type of series). They did not let him enter it, probably because in testing it proved dominantly superior to the tubular cars in the series.

Mind you, in 1975 formula 1 cars were made of riveted aluminum monocoques... while Pagani was making Carbon Fiber components back then!

I posted before about the incredible experience of visiting his plant and test driving a car a few years back. He is as humble as he is talented. Deserves all the success in the world.

Pagani is a class act. I really appreciate his attitude and his willingness to openly give credit to the legends in the industry.
