some of you guys crack me up with your fixation on and the literalization of the 'black' in carbon black. That color is definitely blue. I guess moon pies must be from the moon then

I really love all the shades of blue the M3 is found in. There is something special about and ILB M3 when it's freshly washed and detailed. Simply stunning.

Analogy fail. There's no fixation, the color is named what it is: Carbon B L A C K . The reason for being literal is because the color isn't called "Carbon Blue." It's not blue; it has an undertone of blue in it, but it's primarily black, and that's why BMW gave it that name.

I'm entirely biased but I love my Interlagos Blue. I've uploaded some pictures here: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=417281

It's hard to capture this color, which I kind of like. Sometimes it shows dark blue, sometimes lighter, sometimes "purple-ish". Either way, it always gets attention.

Blues are the best ! Mine is tiag but I always loved a silver m3. If there was a blue estoril available anywhere in na I would've jumped through hoops for it at the time. It's very similar to my medium quasar blue (gm) color on my other car. Medium Metallics are the best IMO they look awesome in sunlight and killer at night as well.
