Default Engine size V8 S65B40

Hi All,

does anyone from you have the dimensions of this engine. I will Need them for a space envelope in an other car.
Perhaps you will also have the dimensions from the DCT of the M3

Thanks for your help!

You're doing it all wrong.

Get the numbers BEFORE you decide to start a project. It's part of the feasibility study.

Also, someone asked the same questions not to long ago in this section. Try the search tool.

The info that you want is highly technical and unlikely to be publicized. Pencil Geek's post says it all. The information that you seek exists, but if he hasn't seen it then the odds of you or any of us finding it on the Internet are virtually nil. Best bet would be a BMW service center source.

Not sure I've ever seen that data.

Perhaps you could locate a junkyard or salvage operation with an M3 with a blown engine, maybe take some measurements on the mounting brackets assuming the engine had been removed?

Either that, or contact a major engine rebuilder in your area.

What is your background / experience for this kind of thing? Sounds like an interesting project.
