It's crazy how times have changed. Seems so incredibly sexist nowadays, yet it was completely normal back in the day.

Sexist though they may be, they're incredibly informative. Their explanation of a differential is still probably the easiest way to comprehend what's going on.

Interestingly enough, I bet that overall these cars have some of the highest percentage of still operable examples on the road. We'll see how many E46's are still on the road 40+ years from now...

CSB Alert: my '67 Austin Cooper S had no synchro on first, quite the trick to double clutch down into 1st for hairpins.
