Now I feel like crap that all that we've used the 328s was to get to work, pick up kid, drive to airport. Feel further like crap because convinced that my 135 and 335 were so much better than anything x28.

Now I see why you're in an m3 forum....128/m3, same.

How about 6speed...you can ball with ferraris and lambos, similar cars.

For context, lets just remember you didn't/don't like the E92 M3. I respect your opinion, but I think that car is epic! Haven't driven any of the F30's, but have put some miles on an F20 M135, and the car is simply brilliant - no complaints with the steering (in comfort).

You need to start selling the dope you're smoking. Then you can buy all the 128s your heart desires.

Actually, I do like the e90 M3 as a car, just not as an M3. To me, the e90 M3 is excellent if you consider it as a e34 M5 replacement. It does fast/comfortable exceedingly well, which is what M5s should do. It just is more boring than an M3 should be.

The 1M was much more in keeping with what an M3 should be, imo. Exciting, sporty, involving, comfortable "enough".

I have a question for those of you who dislike the 128.

If the 128 is bad, is a 1M ok and if so, why?

I find both to be aesthetically unappealing; the scale of height to length/wheelbase is way too high. The car has always looked stubby and ugly to me.

As a driver's car though, a friend who has a 1M 6MT said it was the most fun he's ever had with his clothes on.

I would agree completely that the 1er, much like everything of the E82/E92/E60/E65 era was aesthetically worse.

From the inside though, you can see everything and the car is borderline square in the track of the wheels. Hence why you see so many 1M videos with people spinning out.

135 is a silly fast little car. The 128 is a silly slow little car.

With this, I am out.

Enjoy your 128.
And for less than 12k Stigs car is very nearly as quick as yours with no HPFP issues to worry about, a better exhaust note, and less weight. So...what about it?

I completely disagree with e9x M3 statement. I had a e46 for 4 years and E92 now for just days and like the E92 almost better in every sense. Much better engine and suspension. Steering equally as good with overall less under steer and body roll, I don't get the hate, it is the best car for the money out there IMO
